Official kick-off for Robel North America Corporation

Robel premiere at Railway Interchange

24.09.2019 in Press releases

Robel machines are working on the railroad tracks of around 100 countries worldwide. Now the time has come for the next step on the company’s path to strategic internationalisation. Robel is establishing close proximity to the market and the customer by setting up a separate company in North America. At the US trade fair Railway Interchange, Robel North America Corporation (RNAC) with its head office in Chesapeake, Virginia, is spearheading the sale of hand-guided machines in the USA and Canada.

Four days at the trade fair in Minneapolis confirm that Robel CEO Wolfgang R. Fally made the right decision: “For many years, safe and clean track maintenance has been the driving force for the technological advancement of our machines. The huge interest of the US market in our battery powered machines, the vertical tampers and the new light grinding machines shows that we are in the right place at the right time.”

RNAC is a 100% subsidiary of Robel Holding GmbH, and together with Robel Bahnbaumaschinen, Robel France and Vogel & Plötscher forms part of the new Robel Group. Robel North America is headed up by Christopher J. Drew, who will bring decades of experience in North American track construction to the business.
