September marked the official handover of the TfL engineering trains from manufacturer ROBEL Bahnbaumaschinen to Transport for London’s (TfL’s) Elizabeth Line operations team. Handing over the machines were Wolfgang R. Fally, Chief Executive Officer, ROBEL, and Mark Simmons, Managing Director, Plasser UK, with Howard Smith, Operations Director, TfL, receiving them on behalf of TfL.

Wolfgang R. Fally commented: ‘The past two years have shown that it is possible to translate a functional requirement specification of the customer directly into a product. The RORUNNER System is the proof - a real milestone - also for the successful cooperation of all partners involved.’
