Excerpt: "All 68.05 model rail clamps (short and long versions) provide a firm and positive locking of the fishplates. Deutsche Bahn AG has been able to extend the intervals of rail clamp inspection in its railway network. At the same time, we obtained permission to increase the permissible travelling speed to 200 km/h for securing internal rail faults not causing an increased dynamic load."
How does ROCLAMP adapt to national standards?
A manufacturing method specifically developed for ROBEL makes a cast steel alloy for producing a compact and lightweight system of general applicability: ROBEL adapts the ROCLAMP to national requirements by varying its shape to perfectly match the rail profile and fishplate in question. This ensures that the rail clamp has three points of contact – bottom side of rail, top side of rail foot and fishplate. Adding a patented self-locking latch makes up the concept to provide maximum creep resistance.
Approvals granted by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA), the French SNCF, the British Network Rail and customers from all over Europe leave no doubt: 68.05 works.
Do I need a long or a short ROCLAMP?
You will need two short rail clamps or one long one, depending on the place and type of fracture:
