ROBEL pushes automation in track construction
The Robel Group invests to bring automation to the rails: Since 12 April 2022, Robel Holding GmbH has held 100 per cent of the newly founded Robel Rail Automation GmbH, based in Freilassing. Dr Michael Reiter, former head of the Robel R&D hub, is taking over the management of the company, which is positioning itself as an automation expert for customers and sister companies in the Group.
Robel Rail Automation follows development projects to automate maintenance processes of the railway infrastructure. The company is already designing modular components that supplement customers' existing systems with automated solutions. This provides railway construction companies with new tools to meet the increasing time and personnel pressure in track construction.

By developing resource-saving, safe and traceable construction site processes for our customers, we contribute to better working conditions and reproducible results and thus strengthen the rail system in the long term.”
